Ever wondered, “What the average boost of my deck was?” or “How likely am I to get a boost ability?” I did, so I decided to do a little math. But before I did, I realized just how much I would have to do to have a complete table of data with all the different combinations. So instead of giving it all to you, which would take a while, I decided to KISS it (Keep It Simple Stupid). The following all my results….
Encounter Deck – 1 Player*
Key: St-Standard, Ex-Expert, BS-Bomb Scare, ME-Masters of Evil, UA-Under Attack, LH-Legion of Hydra, DC-Doomsday Chair, GG-Goblin Gimmicks, MT-A Mess of Things, RI-Running Interference, PD-Power Drain
*assumed that player is using an obligation with 2 boosts, and is before Nemesis sets are put into the deck.

I know that isn’t all the data that could be drawn when looking into something like this, but it is a start. This is version 1 of this article. There will be another one that will be updated and also have more data in it in time. Till then, thank you for looking and I hope this article gives you insight in picking your next encounter deck…

Love this. I used to be a numbers cruncher back when I mostly played wargames. Stats like this really do give you leverage. What stats like this do in a game like this is, it let’s you ramp up the difficulty of said villain while keeping control of any sort of swingy situation that might come up.
